  • Overview

    The Payroll Manager leads a team of payroll coordinator(s) to process accurate and timely payroll for multiple company codes.


    • Ensures timely completion of timecard approval & audit. 
    • Updates payroll records by reviewing and approving changes in exemptions, banking information, insurance deductions, etc.
    • Prepares and uploads payroll files for 401(k) recordkeeper following each pay date.
    • Reconciles and approves payroll previews prior to execution of each payroll run.
    • Protects sensitive company and team member information with utmost confidentiality.
    • Completes performance reviews, training, counseling and guidance for the payroll team.
    • Prepares reports and analysis of payroll and benefits cost.
    • Reviews payroll processes and proposes changes to improve accuracy and efficiency.


    • 10+ years of experience managing a payroll team at a medium to large business.
      • Experience must include processing of both hourly & salary pay.
        • Approximately two thirds of the team is hourly.
        • Knowledge regarding time clock usage and flow into payroll is a must.
    • Must be knowledgeable and stay current on Federal, State and Local employment/compensation requirements.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or similar required.
    • Must have expert level skills in ADP Workforce Now; Essential Time and reporting. 
    • Must have above average skills using google sheets or excel - effective data analysis is required.
