  • Overview

    Responsible for all aspects of  the design process from concept to production. He/She will develop and improve manufactured products by studying product and manufacturing methods.


    • Evaluates and develops new products and existing products by studying market trends, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, materials, conferring with equipment vendors, and soliciting observations from operators.
    • Improves manufacturing efficiency for new and existing products by being cognizant of manufacturing costs, raw material yield, labor costs, packaging, warehousing and shipping costs when designing new products.
    • Assembles and tests new products.
    • Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods, testing finished product, and establishing standards.
    • Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
    • Completes design and development projects by training others as needed.
    • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


    • 3+ years of experience in product design.
    • Must have a passion for lifting.
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Product Design or similar area of study preferred. .
    • Strong knowledge of manufacturing methods and procedures.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Autodesk Suite or similar CAD/CAM experience required.
    • Ability to build and test products.
