  • Overview

    The Site Reliability Engineer acts as a member of the Web Development to team to manage and optimize the production, test and development environments to satisfy both business goals and support the Agile software release cycle.


    In addition, this role functions as a bridge with other technical teams to align projects, standards and processes with infrastructure operations and enterprise application development. Within ecommerce, this role also functions as a moderator of permissions, the shared knowledge base and supports established release management practices.


    • Support and automate the web development process for development, testing and code releases.
    • Support and troubleshoot web infrastructure to maintain departmental SLAs, including collaboration with 3rd party vendors and contract service providers.
    • Manage the build, staging and production environments, including basic server software troubleshooting and service administration.
    • Create and maintain monitoring tools for all environments, establishing actionable SLA thresholds and effective notifications.
    • Manage permissions and web account groups for all web development and ecommerce teams.
    • Participate in web architecture planning and projects, as assigned.


    • Bachelor's Degree or Technical School Certification preferred.
    • 3+ years experience in system administration and/or software development, including project management or leadership responsibilities required.
    • CLI proficiency including both unix shell, windows command line, and scripting methods.
    • Experience with code repositories, including branching, commits and pull requests.
    • Experience managing cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc.) or VPS hosted environments.
    • Familiarity with Docker and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, etc.) preferred.
    • Understanding of project management software’s (Jira, etc.) role in Agile/Scrum development teams.
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing systems analyst tasks.
    • Must have ability to communicate and organize projects frequently under deadline pressure.
