  • Overview

    The Laser Supervisor oversees and directs activities of team members engaged in the fabrication of metal products.

    Responsibilities

    • Apply knowledge of layout, product design, machine function and metal properties to production goals.
    • Requisitions supplies such as gas, sheet metal or other products as needed.
    • Analyzes work orders and blueprints to determine information such as material to be used, type of operations and sequence of operations required.
    • Trains workers in operation, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of equipment.
    • Understands and enforces RQS (Rogue Quality System).  
    • Accountable for work flow planning, maintenance and production metrics.
    • Understand, coordinate, train and be able to setup and run: Laser, Saw and Brake Presses.
    • Hiring and training team members during their employment while appraising performance, motivating, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    Qualifications

    • 3+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience
    • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a manufacturing field preferred
    • Extensive sheet metal fabrication, welding experience and be proficient in blue print reading
    • Experience in a dynamic job shop environment including quality control systems, management principles and practices, manufacturing processes, equipment and scheduling and inventory control methods
    • Must be able to troubleshoot product related problems, manage and prioritize numerous concurrent tasks, delegate, and manage issues to closure
    • Excellent communication, problem solving and multitasking skills
    • Basic knowledge of Google Docs and working knowledge/experience with MRP systems
