Overview

The Director of eCommerce will lead and evolve a high-performing eCommerce team in alignment with company and departmental goals and strategies. He/she will direct the efforts that lead to increased profitability through the eCommerce platform while representing the Rogue brand online.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the overall profitability and growth of our global eCommerce platform across all sites.
  • Understand, monitor, and drive improvement in the P&L of ecommerce as a business unit.
  • Provide direction and oversee the continuous improvement of the online user experience across a range of product features including site navigation, search, checkout, user account, order tracking, etc.
  • Define the digital marketing strategy and oversee execution across the range of tools and platforms.
    • SEO, SEM, shopping feeds, content strategy, remarketing, affiliate marketing, PPC, etc.
  • Oversee and drive improvement in methodology and execution.
  • Measure and report to senior leadership on the ROI of new features through data analysis.
  • Develop and inspire a multi-function team that includes web development, digital marketing, and ecommerce store operations.
  • Provide vision, leadership, direction and coaching that enables the team to deliver on our goals, strategies, and core values.
  • Define and maintain the strategic roadmap for our ecommerce business, informed by industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Identify opportunities and initiatives that drive profitability through collaboration with other stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

  • 10-15 years of experience in eCommerce.
  • 3-5 years of experience in eCommerce leadership at director level or above.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Business, Marketing, or Computer Information Systems required.
  • Graduate degree preferred (MIS, MBA).
  • Experience in multiple eCommerce platform implementations.
  • Magento experience is preferred.
  • Exceptional management and team building skills are required.
  • Experienced in vendor management and contract negotiations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including executive presentation skills are required.
  • Agency or consulting experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills are crucial (e.g., business cases, ROI models, etc).
