The Senior Application Engineer leads projects and teams to design and implement large scale software solutions that help meet business goals and objectives.


  • Reports to the Application Development Manager and may be supervised by senior team members.
  • Works independently and may supervise other developers across multiple medium-to-large projects.
  • Mentors others developers.
  • Participates in guiding the architecture with other Sr. Application Engineers.
  • Regularly interacts with business units to help prioritize technical needs.
  • Proactively analyzes and evaluates systems to improve performance and usability.
  • Breaks down project work and delegates to other developers.
  • Evaluates complexity and levels of effort to determine project timelines.
  • Monitors and reports project status and progress.
  • Leads by example by completing programming tasks on time and within prescribed standards.
  • Contributes to the team effort as needed through coding, configuration, documentation, and hands-on support.
  • May be expected to provide onsite support at remote locations.
  • Works within a variety of technical environments (web, database, desktop, system integration) using modern technology.
  • May work in support of one or more business areas of Rogue: e-commerce, business reporting, warehouse management, manufacturing, finance and customer service.



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or related field (or significant and relevant work experience) required.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with C# or similar object-oriented language.
  • Experience programming with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MS .Net, ASP.Net MVC, C#, SQL Server, TSQL, SSIS.
  • Experience with MS Dynamics AX is a plus.
  • Experience coding with the MVC software pattern.
  • Experience using productivity applications such as Google Docs/Sheets .
  • Ability to be self-managed and manage others.
  • Ability to communicate across a mix of operations and technical conversations.
  • Aptitude to work across the gamut of users, projects and technologies.
  • A desire to be part of a true team, participating and contributing with peers.
  • Requires proactive problem solving and troubleshooting/diagnostic skills.
